This project was comleted while visiting TN recently. This is a 60" vanity. Two of them were built identical to each other for both the master and geust bathroom. The challange in this project was aquainting myself with my parent's work area and tools. I did bring my router table in order to build the cabinet doors but I mostly used Papa's tools and radial arm saw. I used 3/4" vaneer ply while 100% of the front is solid oak. The front of the vanity is trimmed with solid oak, along with solid oak drawer faces and the cabinet doors have solid oak styles and rails. I love this vanity because I designed 2 drawers that are observed at the bottom of the vanity that have drawer faces with toe kickes cut out of them. With these two bonus drawers that are not found on many vanities, this vanity has the advantage of having a total of 6 drawers along with the cabinet space. After building this vanity I was somewhat jealous because the vanities I built for our home are so plain compared to this one. Also, you will notice there is no finish on the vanity. This is in part due to lack of time spent in TN and also partly because this vanity was built for my parents who are themselves very handy and they have since put a finish along with 3 coats of polyurathane on the vanity. My parents do not have access to a digital camera so I do not have any pictures of either of the vanities with a finish on them.
